“I love to get involved with materials such as wood, textiles, metal and stone. The reason for this is because I believe society is getting tired of a tech-overload and they are responding more and more to materials which remind us of nature and handmade craftsmanship. This gives our pieces the perfectly imperfect feeling, helping to bring nature into their homes.
Guided by the body and mind, I try to make products that not only look good but that also feel good over a long period of time. Timeless is a strong word because everything has an expiration date, but I feel that products when well made won't be easily disposed of, since they become part of the family history. In a poetic way, we are adding characters into people's lives. They will be a part of their family for generations.”
