Oficina is a project dedicated to preserving the art of handcrafted furniture by teaching the next generation the skills and techniques required to create unique and high-quality pieces. Our master craftsmen have spent years perfecting their craft, and they are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with others. At Oficina, we take in people who are eager to learn and provide them with the opportunity to work alongside our masters.

We offer training in a variety of areas, including carpentry, sewing, upholstery, and other related skills. Our apprentices learn everything from the basics to the most intricate details, allowing them to develop the skills necessary to become experts in their own right. Many of our master craftsmen began their careers at a young age, learning their craft through years of hard work and dedication. They honed their skills in the workshops and studios of our country, becoming experts in their field through experience and practice.

By teaching the art of handcrafted furniture making, we hope to inspire a new generation of artisans who will carry on the traditions and techniques that have been passed down for centuries. UPHOLSTERY - The Sculptors

Upholstery is all about mastering the intricacies of form and volume, enabling them to create truly unique pieces. By combining traditional techniques with new technologies, we are able to push the boundaries of what is possible and bring forth new designs that are both beautiful and functional.

SWEING - The surgeons

Sweing is mastery of raw materials, from leather to fabric, understanding the touches, densities and textures. The range of techniques and resourcefulness allow to expertly join, make, and finish each piece. Ultimately, the goal is to create the perfect fitting for the structures created.

WOOD JOINERY - The Architects

Wood joinery is about the deep understanding and appreciation of the diverse array of woods, as well as their unique applications and functions in constructing furniture structures. Our masters possess the wit and determination necessary to create the skeleton of each piece, from reading and interpreting drawings to sketching all necessary lines and shapes onto the wood.

FINISHINGS - The Alchemists

The mastery of understanding the chemical solutions, paints and lacquers, as well as their mixtures and applications. From fillers to polishes, from colors to high glosses, it’s the art of highlighting the unique features of each piece, creating a beautiful finished product.
